Leave the tire kickers behind

It’s taken me a while to get this but if you are in a network marketing company, you really have to learn to leave the tire kickers behind.

I’m not suggesting to be rude to them. Just find out if there’s a fit with your company and if not, politely part ways and move on to the next prospect.

Case in point. Here’s the transcript from a Skype conversation I had last night with a prospect. Ironically the person being rude in this dialog was the prospect, not me.

Prospect: hi.

Prospect: what opportunity?

Me: Do you remember clicking on a Facebook ad for a Brian Tracy opportunity?

Prospect: perhaps. I recall being annoyed by a banner that gave no information and then being annoyed by a website that did the same.

Me: Sorry to hear that. I’ll try to give you the information you need.

Me: The web site to join Brian Tracy’s team is www.ilearningglobal.tv

Prospect: In 2 lines, what is the opportunity?

Me: To learn: Personal and professional business development from the top 200 experts in their respective industries. To earn: As you share with others, you can earn money for each member who joins wth you as well as the members they go on to sign

Prospect: I pay for this learning? MLM for other clients?

Me: Yes. Your membership would be $99/month USD. Each person you directly sponsor earns you $22.40/month USD. People they sign range from 3 to 7% depending on what level they are on.

Prospect: what is your opinion on the delince of the USD?

Me: I can’t really speak to how the dollar will perform but I do feel our economy is slowly gaining momentum again.

Prospect: Why can’t you speak of i t, while selling me a business course?.

Me: The faculty members are the experts. I am not a faculty member.

Prospect: What will I be getting for 100$/m ?

Me: 24/7 access to the video content from all 200 faculty members; ebook and audio content download; weekly mastermind sessions (teleconference)

Prospect: why will I want that?

Prospect: Is there a sneak peak?

Me: If you go to www.ilearningglobal.tv you can click the “launch” button under video theater near the top right of the web page

Me: there are also sample videos on YouTube at www.youtube.com/ilearningglobal

Prospect: Sorry, not interested.

Me: Ok, thanks for checking it out. Have a good day

And that was end of it. I crossed him off my list and moved on to my next prospect. No harm. No foul. Would you have done the same? Would you have handled this differently? Leave a comment below and let me know.
